I'm moved in! And currently internetless now and for the foreseeable future [I'm actually 'borrowing' wireless as we speak] which is only a slight annoyance when compared to how amazing my new flat is- look see!

It's not completely finished yet, not even close, but this is it about three days after I moved in, so I'm pretty happy with it. I feel like a queen under my canopy!

I've been having the most surreal nights - let's just say that I've been propositioned with a trip to Italy to meet Jamie Oliver [gotta love the pick-up lines men come up with nowadays], been moderately sober enough to fully enjoy all the crap that my drunk friends have been coming out with [unhealthy interests in Thai ladyboys, anyone?] and had glitter smeared on my by one third of a chubby gay bear dance troupe.

You've gotta love the Edinburgh festival.

I know, I know, I know. I'm terrible. Rubbish, even. The ultimate at incommunicado. Unreachable except for the most persistent of people.

But I have a reason - a good one!

I went slightly mental with jetlag. At first, jetlag was like a mythical creature to me [Ha! Jetlag! Jetlag is for weak people and babies! It's just an excuse to sleep lots.] but then, dear readers, jetlag smacked me in the face. Hard.

My sleep patterns aren't great at the best of times [hello insomnia-induced internet shopping] and combine that with some terrible flights back from the old US of A - they played Alvin & The Chipmunks 2 on the plane - I pretty much became nocturnal.

Buuuuuut I'm back! Yes I am! And filled with excitement due to my imminent return to Edinburgh and my new flat. And I suppose a massive shopping spree in Manchester helped a little bit too [hellloooo leather shorts].
