I am finished. Finished. It seems strange to say those words aloud, to allow myself time to do nothing, and plan everything, and accomplish tiny things, like brunch, or Spotify playlists, without the ever present guilt. Weird.

I'm sure it'll sink in soon, or I'll find something else to keep me busy (ie plenty of baking gahhh I create havoc for myself) but until then I'm happy just to sleep in and lazily open my eyes in the morning, stretch, think about getting up, close my eyes, daydream, reach over to my laptop, click play on spotify, and just lie there. In bed. With nothing to do. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

Sarah Jaffe - Clementine [this is summery and kind of an 'F-You' in a weird way, I'm not sure why. Maybe it's just me. Being all agressive/drunk after too many Pear Collins. Either way, play it when you're not quite sure who you're meant to be]

Jonna Lee - Lake Chermain [I like stripes. Don't you? Sometimes I get all iffy about wearing them, that whole 'horizontal line' thing, but when I put them on I instantly feel chic and Parisienne and invariably go overboard and wear red lipstick and a beret and a trench and thus get strange looks from people in the street. Oh, you don't like stripes? Oh, okay. Weird.]

And so this is my life-update, kind of. I say kind-of because I am currently slightly tipsy after wingmanning my way through the evening with a drink constantly in my hand. (Plus I've lost the 'L' key in my keyboard. Recently found out L is a commonly used letter in the English language. Great.)

Sitting procrastinating browsing through Youtube videos - search "Jools Holland". Wow. I normally don't watch the show because Jools really irritates me with his voice somehow, but these performances are ay-mazing.

Drinking some beautiful beautiful beautiful coffee and putting up photos of mes amis. Could life be better?

OH WAIT. Oh, exams. Yeah, hi. I umm.....didn't see you there. Forget about you? Never! I could never forget about you....when are you again? Oh, next week? Well, this is awkward.

I have a humongous yen for this spray. Look at it! It's gold! I'm just imagining gold strawberries to dip in a chocolate fountain, and lustrous gold bunches of grapes. Mount Olympus, here I come...

It's been a massively expensive couple of days. I normally snack like crazy when I'm revising, but in a desperate attempt to, well, not become a heifer, I've channelled this energy into shopping. A lot.

But at least I now have the excitement of waiting for [very expensive] parcels to arrive in the post.

Jazz music. Split pea and bacon soup. Making aforementioned soup. Iron Chef UK. Avoiding revision. Making plans that I won't follow through (ie Farmers' Markets). Ella Fitzgerald's silky silky voice. Tallest Man on Earth's new album. Listening to film scores. Imagining pastel coloured bicycles with wide-set handlebars and wicker baskets.

It seems like 'I don't know' is becoming a veritable mot du jour for me. What does this mean? I don't know. Are you working hard? I don't know. Do you actually like the boy? I don't know.

Ignore me, one glass of wine on a stomach consisting of mainly cupcakes and carrot sticks does not an emotionally competent person make.

I love the band Big Tree. They're almost impossible to find anywhere, but they did a Daytrotter session here and their album is on iTunes. The song 'One Hundred and Four' is perfect for when you're in a 'don't know' kind of mood, comforting and uplifting at the same time.
